New Series Alert: Is a Gym Membership Worth It? My Story Might Help You Decide đź’Ş

A few years ago, I found myself weighing 95kg, constantly tired, and frustrated with my inconsistent fitness habits. I knew I needed change—but like many people, I struggled to stay consistent with home workouts or park jogs. Something was always getting in the way.

Then I made a decision that changed everything: I joined a gym.

Was it worth the money? At first, I wasn’t sure. But after 45 days of showing up consistently, I had lost 6kg, gained energy, confidence, and a brand-new outlook on life.

The gym didn’t just help me lose weight—it gave me structure, discipline, and a supportive community. It kept me accountable and taught me habits that stuck, even when I wasn’t in the gym.

More importantly, it helped me protect my health and build resilience against chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension. As an NCD Advocate, I know firsthand that prevention is powerful—and regular physical activity is a big part of that.

So, is it worth it? Absolutely. It was more than a gym membership—it was an investment in a healthier, happier future.
